Carloway Historical Society

Carloway Historical Society was formed in 1987. It covers the area from Tolsta Chaolais to Dalmore, including the settlements of Park Carloway, Upper Carloway, Doune, Garenin, Borrowston, Knock and Kirvick. The Society is based in the old school at Carloway, now a community centre.

Carloway Historical Society was formed in 1987 and covers the area from Tolsta Chaolais to Dalmore. The Society collects artefacts, archives, photographs and information relating to the area. Its collections including croft histories and oral history recordings.

A yearly magazine is published entitled Sop às gach Seid.  Other publications include a local telephone directory, local history leaflets and walks.
