Benbecula Historical Society was re-formed in 1996. Its main focus is on people and places on the island of Benbecula, which is situated between North and South Uist.

Benbecula Historical Society was re-formed in 1996. The Society has undertaken activities such as organised walks and has also published many books on topics relating to the area including Clanranald, the Benbecula contributors to Carmichael’s Carmina Gadelica and individual crofting townships.
