Enquiries

Can we help you?

If you are doing research on any aspect of the history of the Outer Hebrides we may have sources that could help. Our service offers advice and information on sources which may be relevant, whether in the archive or museum collections. We may also be able to signpost you to sources held by other organisations.

If you are unable to visit to conduct your own research, we can carry out research for up to half an hour free of charge on your behalf. Further research of up to 2½ hours can be undertaken by us for a fee. Please get in touch to enquire about this.

For extensive research you may wish to consider employing a researcher. Information about accredited researchers can be found on the Association of Scottish Genealogists and Researchers in Archives (ASGRA) website.
